  42. WebCopier is a powerful offline browser that downloads Web sites and 
  43. stores them locally. It gives you instant access to critical Web sites 
  44. at any time, regardless of where you are. WebCopier performs precise 
  45. links searching, including JavaScript parsing, it can download up to 100 
  46. files simultaneously and print entire Web site or only specific part of 
  47. it. WebCopier supports proxy servers, allows to specify account name 
  48. and password to access secure Web sites. Advanced features include 
  49. website preview, SSL (HTTPS) support, Agent Identification, scheduler, 
  50. templates, URL and file filters, wizards, ability to resume download, 
  51. dialer, Shockwave files support, different language modules.

  58. To install WebCopier:

  60. - If you have downloaded file named "wcopier.exe", just run it. 
  61. - If the file name has extension ".zip", you need to decompress it 
  62.   with a program such as WinZip.  Then run the file "setup.exe".

  70. WebCopier 2.2 New features:

  73. - Pause the download
  74. Now you can pause the download by pressing "Pause" button. The program first 
  75. will finish copying of the files it's downloading at this moment, and then will 
  76. pause the download and wait for you to resume or stop it.

  78. - Can save files in one directory
  79. By default WebCopier stores the downloaded files by keeping the original website 
  80. directory structure. If website has files in more than one directory, the same 
  81. directories will be created on your disk. If you don't like it, you can tell the 
  82. program ("Project Settings / Advanced / Other" window) to ignore the website 
  83. directory structure and store all downloaded files in one place.

  85. - Allows to change website default file name
  86. When a HTML link does not include file name (for example "www.somesite.com"), 
  87. WebCopier assigns the "default.htm" name to the starting page, because web 
  88. server doesn't tell the actual name of the starting page. Now you can assign a 
  89. different name to the starting website page in "Project Settings / Advanced / 
  90. Other" window.

  92. - Improved Connection Wizard
  93. The Wizard now can automatically find the proxy server settings, if you are 
  94. using it.

  96. - Integrated browser messages
  97. The Integrated browser messages now are shown in the program Status line. For 
  98. example, when the mouse cursor goes over a html link in the browser, the Status 
  99. line shows that address.

  101. - Integrated browser Offline mode
  102. It helps to block online advertisement when you are viewing downloaded files in 
  103. the Integrated browser.

  105. - Redesigned "Update Links" option
  106. This option has been improved in several ways:
  107.     - It's now called "Links Conversion (for Offline browsing)"
  108.     - It has a new setting "Convert ALL links". Previously only downloaded links 
  109.       can be converted.

  112.   Registered version of WebCopier.

  122. Now in one project you can specify a list of URLs, not just one as before, as 
  123. the download starting address ("Project Settings / General" window).

  126. You can use the Contents Tree to download only one its branch instead of whole 
  127. site. Select the starting node of the branch, press right mouse button, and 
  128. click on the "Download only this Branch" menu.

  130. - Download Report
  131. The program can generate detailed report about a download ("Project Settings /
  132. Advanced / Download" window).

  134. - File size restrictions can be set based on file extension
  135. WebCopier Free version allows to restrict download by Min. and Max. file size. 
  136. The restriction is set for all files. The Registered version now allows 
  137. ("Project Settings / Advanced / File Filters" window) to set different limits 
  138. for different file types (for example, HTML, Image, Audio), and even file 
  139. extensions inside the same file group (for example, *.gif and *.jpg can have 
  140. different size limits).

  174. WebCopier uses the Radiate (formerly Aureate Media) advertising system to show 
  175. banner advertisements. It helps to keep the program FREE.

  177. A form is shown when first using the Radiate system so you may fill in as much 
  178. or as little demographic information about yourself as you want. All information 
  179. provided in this way is OPTIONAL and is NOT PERSONALLY identifiable information. 
  180. No other information is gathered from your computer.
